BBB Torch Info K-CO BBB Awards

The San Diego Better Business Bureau (BBB) has an annual program called The Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. The BBB presents awards to different size companies that have demonstrated a commitment to ethical standards for their customers, employees, vendors, sub contractors and their community. The Better Business Bureau of San Diego conducts this annual awards program to gain public recognition for businesses and organizations that maintain a solid commitment to ethical business practices. The BBB Torch Awards program is designed to not only promote the importance of ethical business practices, but also the willingness and efforts made by businesses and organizations to ensure that our marketplace remains fair and honorable.

To be considered for this award a company has to document its superior commitment to exceptional standards that benefit its customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders and surrounding communities. The company must provide supporting documentation about Management Practices, Community/Investor/Stakeholder Relations, Communications, Marketing Practices, and Industry Reputation. The awards are scored by a panel of independent judges. When a company wins on the local level they are entered into the international competition from there.

K-CO Construction has been BBB Torch Award “Winner” 3 times including 2008! Additionally we were “Finalist” (runner up) 4 times. After a local win in 2003 we were entered into and won the International Competition in 2004.

In an industry that has had its share of ethical problems, K-CO Construction has been fortunate enough to have been recognized many times for their ethics standards. Throughout the years K-CO has worked hard to maintain great relationships with customers, subcontractors and employees.
