1954 Kitchen Becomes Open Entertaining Space
Before
This 1954 Clairemont classic still had its original cramped kitchen.
After
K-Co helped transform the whole living area by removing a wall and a closet between the living room and kitchen to create a great entertaining space with better flow.
Project Highlights
- Use of hidden beam to support continuous ceiling in kitchen and living room after the wall between the two was removed
- Upgraded electrical panel to support all new lighting and new Kitchen Aid Duel Fuel Range (gas cooktop/ electric oven)
- Rearranged the kitchen required new plumbing for gas and water lines new stove and sink locations
- Matched original solid wood oak floors found in the rest of the house
- New cabinets feature built in wine rack and reach all the way to the ceiling for more storage space.
- Mascarello granite counters have waterfall edge between the eat at bar and kitchen counter
